Re: Damage to my new car

Sorry to hear about your damage, I'm disabled and park in the disabled spaces, people still push trolleys into the car. I don't understand why they can't simply look where they're going. Of course, you do get the ones do it on purpose, I parked at a supermarket in High Wycombe some years back, and a...

Re: Why change stock headlight bulbs?

I had to come back from a hospital appointment in full dark one evening on B roads, I was horrified by how poor the dip beam was. vauxhall seem to set it far to low (had previous experience of it) Read somewhere they should check this on the PDI before handing it over, but is commonly forgotten abo...

Re: Why change stock headlight bulbs?

I had to come back from a hospital appointment in full dark one evening on B roads, I was horrified by how poor the dip beam was. vauxhall seem to set it far to low (had previous experience of it) so first I parked on flat ground and marked where the dip beam hit, then turned the interior (load leve...

Re: Noisy dashcam

I put mine at the top to the left or right of the mirror, depending if driver or passenger are navigating, has to be over far enough so the dashcam doesn't get blocked by the "blob". Mine is a Nextbase 312GW, had no problems.

Re: Petrol Prices.com Asda and electric cars

Paul, I agree, I don't see how it would help. I used to have to pick my kids up from a Telford school in an old carb fed 6cyl petrol engine, kids and parents used to walk straight across me as if I was invisible, they still do now with the Astra with the lights on. Personally I think it's partly the...

Re: Petrol Prices.com Asda and electric cars

The Asda "Trial" has now been postponed due to customer complaints. It was on the news last night. Asda claimed it was a "Trial" in three regions and set up to deter people taking off without paying for their fuel. If this was the case and if Asda do roll it out again in the future it will again be...

Petrol Prices.com Asda and electric cars

I've had an email listing 2 things, first, that Asda in the North of England have introduced a £99 compliance charge on pay at the pump. It gets refunded after a few days, and their blaming Mastercard and Visa, but they failed to inform customers, and apparently intend to extend it over the whole of...

Re: Do brand new Astras have limited power and revs?

maybe so, but I had a 3 day test drive on an Astra GTC, accidentally set the speed limiter then couldn't seem to get it off , which made me wary of them, When I get time I'll read the instructions and try it.

Re: Do brand new Astras have limited power and revs?

Yes, new Astras have limited power and revs when brand new. ..at least mine have.. Got a 1.4 150 hp engine, automatic, Sports Tourer. Got it April 10, it have just passed 1000 miles. It is a different car now: Fuel consumption have gone from 23 mpg to 39 (I'm almost exclusively driving to and from ...
