Re: android auto ...actually working!

Never had a problem with Android auto since I had the software updated on the r4. 0 intellilink, before the update I would end up with a black screen 95% of the time after connecting my galaxy s7 edge, has worked flawlessly since.

Re: Brake Pads

My astra had its third service recently and in the video clip they send you to show them looking at the underside of the car and checking everything the guy stated my brake pads are at 85% still, car has covered nearly 18k and is coming up to 3 years old so unless you use your brakes hard & frequent...

Re: Holden Astra (Australia) servicing rant

With regards to the oil life counter, you can reset that by simply pressing the button on the end of the lever while your viewing the remaining oil life screen, if it's not done when the car is serviced. One thing that bugs me when having the car serviced at my local Vauxhall dealers, all they do is...

Re: 2nd service interim or full

Mine was an intermediate service so that would be a full (main) service for the 2nd year. 3rd year is an interim (oil and filter change), I just had my 3rd year interim service 2 days ago. 4th Year is the major service. My understanding is 1st year: Interim 2nd Year: Main 3rd year: Interim 4th year...

Re: Central locking issue

It should last a lot longer than 14 days in my opinion, especially if the battery is working correctly & is charging ok when the car is being driven.

Re: rear parking sensor doesn't see pillar

Can't say I've had any problems with detection with my factory fitted sensors so at a guess I would say yours is faulty.

Re: Where to buy Dexos 1 Gen 2 oil?

Ta for that, I'll look them up and see about getting some. I checked cold but I'm not convinced my drive is 100% level so I'll check it again somewhere else tomorrow to be absolutely sure. I'm guessing it's fairly normal for a new car to use a little oil while the engine is bedding in? According to...

Re: Warranty

There are fake reviews about, but how else can you bench mark it without looking at the reviews ? If a company is bad or people have had bad experinces, you tend to get some negative feedback via Google searches. I couldn't find any. That's the trouble these days, you can't really judge how good a ...

Re: Warranty

Thanks Redman ps no mentions of turbos I didn't see that part Yes the turbo, aircon system and abs braking system are all + £10 extra each. You can use dealership for repairs. I like the fact it covers wear and tear and only £10 excess. All the reviews are good. Trouble is can we rely on those revi...
