Re: My 1.6T SRI

Quite smart / smooth without either badge and people don't know what you have under the bonnet. Mines still on there but a 'turbo' badge on a car these days looks weird as I think most cars have a turbo but don't advertise it. Debating on mine.

Re: 1.6T performance curiosity

... I won't go diesel as its a dying breed these days but on the other hand don't fancy all electric yet. My thinking exactly... I'm going to enjoy this last Renaissance of pure petrol engines before they are inevitably curtailed for good within the next decade or so  Totally agree F7GOS you c...

Re: 1.6T performance curiosity

Not driven a J vxr astrafan , but have been a passenger in one.Its a handful I must admit (well the driver had his work cut out) ! Scrabbling for grip like the old H vxr did as well. But a superb looking vehicle in my eyes. I would look twice at one , I wouldn't look twice at any K's on the road unl...

Re: 1.6T performance curiosity

I've got the 1.6t Astra Sri vx line 68 plate and it's a great car to drive.ive had 2 fiesta st's prior to this car , 1 standard 180bhp the other 225bhp . The Astra is comparable with both performance wise. Mid range is excellent especially in sport mode and will keep up with a lot of 200hp cars. Not...

Re: Towing with Astra 1.0T Ecoflex 2016

Can't see a problem with towing a light caravan, it's a torquey little unit .

JJ - I also had cavaliers lol , 1st a 1.6 then a 2.0 gli , that 2.0 unit was a peach and pulled along effortlessly.

Will be interesting to see the difference between this and my last 1.6T which was a BMW / PSA unit in my last RCZ. Looking forward to picking her up now.
