Does the astra now use PSA engines?

Been a couple of years since I had my Astra and now own a 308. Few people on the pug forums stating that the astra now shares engines with the 308. Is this correct?

Re: Elite or Peugeot 308 GT Line

Just a quick update if anyone is interested, Iv'e taken the car back in and the ECM was to blame for the battery issues, apparently it wasn't turning off after the car was parked and switched off - thus draining the battery. My mum and dad have just bought a nearly new 308 coincidentally, and i can...

Re: Psa merger and its effects?

It's 16 to 18 plates we have. My Astra feels so much better to drive lighter and more nimble. They aren't the GT ones though Vauxhalls of the future will be built on PSA platforms. It's already happened with the blandland X and the crossland. They will just be another brand under PSA as peugeot and...

Re: Psa merger and its effects?

We have the pug 308s in work and they are awful cars I hope psa don't turn vauxhall into the same dull lifess plastic rattle boxes Really? Are you talking 1st or 2nd generation? Having owned both i feel I'm qualified to comment. I currently run a 2nd gen 308 GT line and my experience is the overal ...

Re: Comments please on Astra I bought on Friday from biggest Stealer in south west.

My pug 308 was serviced when I bought it and the oil was black after a few thousand miles. I was a bit concerned but If you google the subject there is conflicting reports on how quickly it degrades so I am assuming its normal. If you are worried I would call them and confirm but wouldn't a dealer ...

Re: Replacing stereo

I had the entire system replaced and I understand it's made up of separate modules for the dab, sat Nav, screen and radio and they are all in different places within the dash.

Re: 2019MY Updates

Is this downgrading common in the motor industry? The only other instance I can remember this happening was when mg rover introduced the cost cutting project drive prior to when they went tits up. I've also never come across a car where you have to pay extra for sound proofing! Vauxhall have remove...
