Re: Astra K 2019 1.6 Sri Purchase decision

Scout908,just be aware before you see the car that 1.6t,s are quite rare and can be hard to find as most people were happy with the 1.4t and were not prepared to pay the large hike in price which was around £1500 when I bought mine in 2016.There is a lot of performance difference between the two but...

Re: Astra K 2019 1.6 Sri Purchase decision

Oh I think you might just notice the difference between 0–60 in a calendar month and about 6.6 seconds and importantly you will notice a much better mpg.My estate car does around 10–15mpg more than my last Astra j 1.6 with 113bhp.

Re: Astra K 2019 1.6 Sri Purchase decision

Hi,the 1.6t is the pick of the bunch, this petrol engine is fast, frugal,(over 50mpg possible)and would seem to be bombproof.I have had my 1.6t st. for over 4years now and so far has been completely trouble free and still puts a grin on my face when pushed. Its verging on hot hatch territory without th...

Yes,the J sunglasses holder fits perfectly with no mods necessary.I bought the standard greyish J version and aerosol sprayed it in satin black,it looks fine.👍

Re: Battery connections Astra K 2018

The blue circled one is the one designed for jump starting,NOT the other as this is just an earth bond and not substantial enough.👍

Re: Rear Wiper Blade??

The longer h311 blade fits perfectly on the sports tourer with no rubbing on the brake light housing,I’ve had the longer one on mine for years and it clears everything fine.

Re: 1.6t vs 1.4t

I have had my 1.6t sp. tourer from new in may 2016 and mechanically have had zero issues. This engine is a revelation as in ,very quick, very reliable, very economical (50mpg plus) On a journey .I have done the same route in my mates Skoda Octavia vrs petrol, which is a little slower in response and ach...

Re: Would you buy an Astra K again?

Depends on what you expect from a car,the J 1.6 engine is desperately underpowered the 113hp is just not enough for a heavy car .The performance is VERY underwhelming and the fuel consumption by today’s standards is also abysmal. My current 1.6t petrol with almost 200bhp is 15 - 20mpg better than my ...

Re: Just about to buy... 1.4T SRI NAV 2018... few questions..

I don’t agree that the satnav is useless, you can get a 2019 map which I have installed on mine which gets used regularly and so far is good.
