Hello.
I was just wondering if it was possible to upgrade my standard headlights for the intellilux lights. And if it is possible, is it just a case of plug and play or are there any other items needed ?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum!

Agree with PAC and Thrubovc, it probably isn't possible and, even if it were, the costs would be prohibitive! It's not simply a straight swap. There are lots of upgrades to the standard headlights available, however (not that it would be quite the same)

Some here have replaced their bulbs with HID units, but the legality of doing so is questionable. There are fully legal bulb upgrades, including a Philips LED unit. I've no idea how it performs and what the resultant beam pattern is, but they appear OK.

There are lots of alternatives from https://www.hids4u.co.uk/ (they also supply non-HID bulbs), https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/ and http://www.piaa.co.uk/bulbs/bulbs.asp, for example. Although the last-mentioned are excellent quality and very bright, they're a bit pricey!

Not, Intellilux, I know, but I hope this helps!

While we on the subject of matrix lights if the main bulb blew not the beam part. Would the whole unit need to be replace just for the bulb part. When the automatic are on
To be honest i never really looked. But it look like the whole unit is all together. I be fuming to shell out a £500 to replace the whole unit. Not sure if that been covered before

Having had a unit replaced under warranty, Each uses 3 ecu's and therefore also requires a different harness, If was fitted with a rain sensitive wipers the camera system is there
Mine has rain sensitive wipers so could I put the metrix lights in mine or still need other stuff for it to work
