It seems as if 1.6 Turbo petrol engine has been dropped from the range. You can no longer specify it on the official web site. This engine is not available in other countries either.
Same for the bi-turbo diesel 1.6 160PS. Those were the only two models that had Watts link rear suspension and Acoustic Pack. 5 engines left in the configurator.
So far am not impressed by what the new owners peugeot are doing or is it a natural progression route that vauxhall were going down anyway ?Will need to grab an up to date brochure to see the engine line up ,is the 1.5. Turbo petrol available in the astra from the New insignia?........

https://www.vindobona.org/article/opel-psa-group-plans-job-cuts-in-vienna: PSA CEO Carlos Tavares announced that he wants Opel to keep its German and Austrian brand identity and to embrace it, and that he would leverage Opel's pedigree of German engineering and Motorsport and use the company's heritage to reach markets and customers that may not consider a French car due to perceived reliability issues. If this is true, it makes sense to improve reliability by getting rid of the most powerful engines, as they probably put more stress on the car.
Australian spec RS and RS-V trims both get the 1.6T as of MY2019. So the engine is still available outside of Europe.
