Hi there. First post so be gentle! Took a new Astra out for a test drive on Saturday and was really impressed, especially coming from an Adam which has underwhelmed me tbh. Couple of questions on the Navi 900 IntelliLink system which I'm thinking of getting if I order the car:

  • Does it play video and if so what file formats?

It currently doesn't support Android Auto but it mentions in a fleet guide I found that it will do from "Spring 2016" - will this be via a software update do you think, or if I want it should I wait to order until it's available?

Finally, unrelated to Intellilink, I can't find elbow/shoulder room measurements anywhere. Have they been published?

I take no offence.
All the codes I found are publicly available on English websites. I found as much as I needed and the necessary configuration of the machines. I just had to go through them and look at each car. It would be faster if the owners responded with the digital radio option. But, the question is settled, though differently.
About love from Russia is sarcasm? We, the Russians do not bite :) Please do not interfere with the policy with ordinary Russians. Come on a visit and you change your opinion about the Russians and the country. This is all nothing that you can say in the press and on television

Here is a project on which we are now working. This is our forum on Insignia in Russia. Maybe you will be interested in something.

I am forced to ask questions in foreign forums, because we have not sold new Opel models for several years now. I have been traveling on the streets for 17 years and they like me and my family

One Pole did the same as we do now. Only he gave the blocks to another person in programming. We are only programming some blocks ourselves. We work on other blocks with programming and we will also learn how to program them.
While we can program new clean blocks. We learn to do this with the old blocks from the dismantlings

Thank you all for responding to my request.
The issue with the VINcode is resolved. Went to try
Hello krenkel, i want to install a dab module in my Astra K , i have a intellink 900 2.5 installed. Why do you need a vin of a car with dab? Its not plug and play? The cables and connections Seems the same as my original radio module.

For a long time I did not go here
I need a car VIN for analysis and programming capabilities
If you want to install a DAB system, then you need to replace the SilverBox radio unit and program it. There is nothing complicated in this.
He is most likely behind the glove compartment
Which block do you want to put? Tell me his number. We put 2 different blocks with DAD 4505 and 6166
Choose any, but I advise you to 6166. He has a newer reception system

Hello Krenkel, excuse for my bad English, I am a Dutchman and do not write so often in English.

My Astra does not support DAB+ reception and I would like to. If I understand correctly, is it sufficient to replace the radio tuner (SilverBox behind the glove compartment) with a new radio tuner with DAB + support? Type DAD 6166 and in this tuner a VIN Code must be programmed. Do you need a random VIN code from an astra with DAB+ support or do you need the VIN code of my own car? Does something have to be released in the software in the car itself? And, is the DAB + antenna cable present behind the glove compartment or should this still be pulled forward from the rear window.

And not unimportant, what is this going to cost?

Hoi ziggyturbo,

I have asked the local opel dealer but according to him this was not possible. I drive in an imported Astra from Spain, of course he is not happy with that. The Dutch government causes this parallel import because of the high tax on cars. But there is no DAB + on the spanish astra.
