Finall decided to sell my Astra k 1.4 turbo 150, was so excited when I was getting it as it was a new car , I brought the car 7 months ago, couldn't even manage a year with it , absolutely hated the way it felt and the road noise was so much compared to other cars, the car didn't feel stable at all but that may have just been mine as my friend says his is fine, couldn't believe I couldn't manage a year with it considering I have had Peugeot 206's Renault clios that I drove for more than a year. Glad to be moving on from it, would definitely never buy an Astra again 😂

Ivanzu I totally agree. To oooop not every car will be to everyone's liking so really you should of test drove the astra and a bunch of other cars before committing to buying it. When I test drove the astra it was the best on paper and in test driving it. I test drove all the 5 door hatchbacks there was and they were all boring or just didn't suit me.

Obviously I test drove the car and competitors, brains.

It was fine 7 months ago but I couldn't find anywhere that said this car will be absolutely awful in 7 months time or I wouldn't of wasted my time with it.

There will always be people that come here only to complain, if you want to sell the car then just sell it, dont post on 10 different topics how the car sucks because it doesnt fit you.
Don't hate on me because you're going to be stuck with a Vauxhall forever, see how deep your pockets are, come over to Audi with me. Broke as probably one of the kids with the 1.0 Astra hahahahaha

We have had one audi in the family. Dont believe they never have problems because than you will be complaining on forums again in a couple of years. The a6 needed a new turbo (along with some other annoyances) within 2 years although the driver takes good care of his cars and it got well maintained. The next one wasnt an audi anymore. Anyway,i like my astra k 1.4 turbo, it was the best value for money when i bought it.

Out of curiosity what problems have you had in 7 months of ownership....

As previous reply's have said the Astra will not be everyone's cup of tea but why do some people expect a Rolls Royce they come on this forum complaining of a rattling here a creaking noise there Road noise wind noise when windows open I have had the Astra K for 18 months now and never ceases to please it's even better now after the software update so you moaners set up a forum of your own and let us help those that need it and do not worry in time they will have a mode of transportation that will float on a cushion of air so you will probably be able to find fault with that that's my rant enjoy your VAUXHALL

Had an Audi A4 53 Reg, died at 235,000 miles, need ed new steering rack, had it 10 years before I bought the Astra.
Used to love that car, was trouble free most of the time, never let me down.

But when I test drove the Astra compared to it, it was night and day better, ( yes the Audi was 10 years old ) but the Astra was like a little rocker, with more gadgets than you could throw a stick at!

Build isn't as good obviously as an Audi, but I'm really liking it so far after about a month of so.

Yes the rattles and creaks annoy me, but I just turn the radio up.

If it's as reliable as the Audi, I'll be a happy chappy.

Apart from a few years with a vectra all my other driving has been in the astra and I couldn't be more happy with them. My first astra was an m reg which was at 88k when I brought it and apart from the clutch cable snapping after a few years of ownership the engine never missed a beat.

After that I had the vectra for a few years then brought an astra g sri 1.8 back in 2009 which had 54k miles on the clock, I owned that for the following 8 years and never had any trouble with it at all and apart from a couple of minor things it passed the majority of mot tests without needing anything done.

Now I'm in the k model and loving it.

I'm still unhappy with VAG for being enormous a***holes in the emissions scandal (and having clearly bought off EU politicians so that we haven't had a similar scandal over here). No matter how much I'd like to drive an A4, that played a role for me in not choosing one.

So the A4 ultra 200 (140 kW): 7,2 sec - not quite as fast as the 1.6 turbo Asta K - 6.1 sec? (Astra K ST 7.2 sec).

Nice cars, Audi - we liked ours, but prohibitive service costs and lack of reliablity - more faults than all our other cars combined, but we still liked it.
