Yes, I read that too. I wonder if my dealer will survive. It's a small family run business and was 3 sites, now only 1 and I have to drive 20 miles to get to them now. I can't stand my local dealer. My astra will be 5 when that time comes - maybe time to sell up if I haven't already.

Well, I'm hoping that my dealer will endure at least until tomorrow morning ;) ;) Going up there with the other half as she wants to test drive a Corsa and / or an Adam to see if they're suitable replacements for her ageing diesel Polo.

They'd also better be around for as long as it takes to re-service my car (see my other post) after they put the incorrect grade of oil in during its second service!!  :? :x

The sales staff are very good (then I suppose they would be), but the service dept often leaves a lot to be desired

I have just had an email from my Main Dealer who tells me that they are closing, as from 11th May. However, 4 other Vauxhall Main Dealers in my area are remaining open. As far as I am aware, it isn't ALL franchises which are finishing, it is apparently a streamlining, to provide much improved customer service through fewer franchises. We shall see!
