Hi everyone.

I ordered last friday my Opel Astra K Sport Tourer 1.4T Cosmic Gray :D

I leave here a list of the options that I chose:

- TASB - "Athena" Jet Black Seats
- LP0X - Pack Matrix II
- SRY - Sport and Ergonomic Seats (Driver and Passanger)
- USS- Two USB Ports in backseats
- CF5 - Sunroof
- ZQ3 - Opel Eye with Radar
- UTJ - Alarm
- SJQ - Small Tire

The information I have is that the car arrives at the end of July

You can release the pressure on the brake pedal. The car will turn on while you are still braking. Or you can start with the hand brake which will auto turn off.
I tried this yesterday to let the brake down a bit and by the time the car started it was already starting to move. I see that I will still have to train more because I have not yet gotten used to this new way of working.

the car is now very close to 5000 kilometers (3 106 miles) and next weekend will do more 1200 kilometers (746 miles). :D

So far the consumptions are in 7.4l / 100kms (38mpg).

The routes that I do are mostly motorway somewhat mountainous, which does not help to lower consumption. :p

And that's it, there are more than 746 miles and nothing to point at. This weekend I made Braga - Chaves - Madrid - Braga without any problem.

On the way to Madrid the suitcase was as it can be seen in the photo below and we were 3 adults in the car. I thought that on the way up to Chaves, on the A11, the car would have difficulty maintaining cruising speeds in the 130km / h but managed without any problem. Of course in this section the averages went up well, having arrived at Chaves with averages of 9l / 100kms.

After Chaves to Madrid, the averages lowered considerably, having gone to the 6l. The fact that the route was mostly flat helped a lot.

The boring part was that in Madrid they were spreading salt in the streets and I got the car full of salt :(

The return trip was a bit more boring because I caught a lot of rain practically since I left Madrid. He forced it to run below 120km / h. On arrival in Portugal we were greeted by 'Ana' and due to the heavy rain the ACC was shut down due to weather conditions not allowing a correct reading of the surroundings. I ended up doing Madrid - Braga without any stop in 6:30h

As everyone has said that the painting of the astra is very sensitive and that quickly gets risky, I chose to schedule a wash in a detailer near my workplace.

Friday will be washed for the first time and the plastics of the interior will be conditioned.

I hope the man will not forget to take pictures with the various steps of the car wash for me then put here. :D

Last Friday I went to pick up the car and the cleaning was impeccable.

However I noticed that from the trip to Madrid I was left with the cap with ink faults because of small stones that a truck on the freeway was shooting behind.

There I will have to spend some more money repairing the paint flaws.

I leave here some photos after the cleaning and in the last photo you can see the bigger paint failure.

 I am exactly the same. Tesco have had more money out of me in the last 48 than in 2 weeks! The picture really doesn't do it justice, it suits it down to the ground and really does make it stand out.

Whooa... looks like things will be properly taken care of! ;)
Can you please specify the products to make the topic as detailed as possible. What is this round plastic object behind the greenish brush?
Not sure but it looks very much like a "Grit Guard" for the bucket. As you wash your mitt, the grit should come off and fall through the holes in the guard so it doesn't get picked up next time you rinse the mitt.

Reading that back it sounds a bit rude, does anyone on here often get grit on their mitt.?

Exactly. :D

The products are mostly from Chemical Guys. I took some promotions on amazon and on their site and I ended up making an investment to be able to wash the car without worries.

Starting the list:

2x washing buckets
2x grit guard
Apc: CHEMICAL GUYS ALL CLEAN CITRUS BASED ALL PURPOSE CLEANER
Glass Cleaner: CHEMICAL GUYS SIGNATURE SERIES GLASS CLEANER
Wheel Cleaner: CHEMICAL GUYS DIABLO GEL WHEEL RIM CLEANER
Decontamination: CHEMICAL GUYS DECON V3 WHEELCLEANER DEIRONIZER
Shampoo: CHEMICAL GUYS CITRUS WASH AND GLOSS CONCENTRATED CAR WASH
1x brush to clean the rims
6x microfiber towels
1x waffle towel

And then I still need to get CHEMICAL GUYS COLORLESS ODORLESS LEATHER CLEANER and CHEMICAL GUYS LEATHER CONDITIONER for the treatment of the hides in the interior and more microfiber towels.

Microfiber towels are never too much.

Looks like you'll be busy for the next few days at least. :D
Unfortunately the forecasts point to rain next weekend.
I hope that the meteorologists are mistaken and that at least next Sunday does not rain so that I can wash the car.

The A4 of my girlfriend's parents also needs to be washed and well washed, both exterior and interior. And I believe it is the car that will notice the differences between before and after.
